The gallery and gardens are north of Whangarei city, on the east coast near Oakura Bay. The main focus is Maori and pacific art and craft, including paintings and photography, sculpture, wood carvings, glassware, weavings and jewellery.

The Kauri Clock Factory

Showroom displaying (and selling) literally thousands of clocks and other items crafted from Kauri timber. Guided tours of the factory are also available if booked in advance.

Whangarei Museum & Heritage Park

Set in 25 acres a few miles west of Whangarei City, with a museum, walks and gardens, as well as a Kiwi House and shop. The park also hosts various clubs and events.
