Dargaville Museum

Features an eclectic mixture of exhibits covering such topics or displays as gumdigging, nautical life, Maori artefacts, a model railway, relics from shipwrecks and more. Offers guided tours and has a shop. The wider park has some camping sites and a picnic area.
Kauri Museum
Found at Matakohe in the south of the Kauri Coast region. Contains a broad collection of Kauri-related exhibits, including Kauri gum, displays of colonial and working life, furniture, processing technology, art, photos and even buildings.
The Kauri Bowl Gallery

A collection of Kauri wood products -- particularly bowls -- for sale and display. Artist and woodturner Greg Brownie also does commission work and offers tuition services. Based in the east side of Dargaville.
The Woodturner's Studio & Gallery

Runs workshops and tuition in the art of woodturning. Both woodturning tools and the pieces and art crafted by the woodturner are available for viewing and purchase. Rick Taylor, the resident artist and craftsman uses ancient Kauri timber to produce his works. Located in the centre of Dargaville.
