Karikari Peninsula Area Guide

The peninsula fills the western border of Doubtless Bay, and has its own collection of small settlements. It's an area of contrasts, with camping grounds and holiday parks but also upmarket vineyards and a select golf course.

The long coastline with extensive beaches and bays offers visitors the usual range of activities, whether fishing off Matai Bay, diving from Whatuwhiwhi or digging for shellfish on Tokerau Beach.
